Bengaluru: Ultraviolette has announced plans to establish its BIGGA Factory, a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, as the company looks to significantly expand its production capacity and support the next phase of its growth in India and international markets.
The BIGGA Factory, which stands for Big Global Ambition, will manufacture Ultraviolette’s highly anticipated Tesseract electric scooter and provide the capacity and infrastructure required to support the company’s future product portfolio.
The new BIGGA Factory will ramp up to an annual manufacturing capacity of 250,000 vehicles in a phased manner.
Its infrastructure has been designed to scale production further to 500,000 vehicles annually as demand grows.
Ultraviolette’s future product portfolio includes multiple motorcycle segments, including Sports, Crossover, Cruiser and Street, along with scooters.
The expansion is expected to create approximately 2,000 job opportunities in the initial phase, with employment expected to scale further over the next five years as the facility expands its operations.
The BIGGA Factory will be located at SIPCOT Industrial Park, Shoolagiri, Hosur, and will integrate Industry 4.0 manufacturing principles, advanced automation and digital quality systems.
The new facility will operate in addition to Ultraviolette’s existing manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Ultraviolette Plans Major Manufacturing Expansion
The BIGGA Factory marks an expansion of Ultraviolette’s manufacturing footprint and is intended to provide the production scale and infrastructure needed to support the company’s next phase of growth.
The facility will manufacture the Tesseract electric scooter while also creating the manufacturing capacity required for Ultraviolette’s future products across Sports, Crossover, Cruiser, Street and scooter segments.
The BIGGA Factory will progressively ramp up production to 250,000 vehicles annually, while its infrastructure will allow the company to scale production to 500,000 vehicles per annum as demand increases.

The BIGGA Factory will therefore operate alongside Ultraviolette’s existing manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, allowing the company to expand its overall manufacturing and technology footprint in India.

BIGGA Factory to Come Up at SIPCOT Industrial Park
The Government of Tamil Nadu will facilitate the allotment of land for the BIGGA Factory at SIPCOT Industrial Park, Shoolagiri, in Hosur.
The location places the BIGGA Factory within one of India’s established automotive manufacturing ecosystems. The facility will also have proximity to Bengaluru, Ultraviolette’s R&D operations and its wider supplier network.
Ultraviolette said the BIGGA Factory is being designed as a future-ready manufacturing ecosystem focused on advanced digital systems, automation and quality engineering.
The facility will be built around Industry 4.0 manufacturing principles to create a scalable and agile production environment.
A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) will be deployed at the BIGGA Factory to enable real-time production track-and-trace. The system will be supported by digital lean manufacturing and digital quality systems.
Advanced Automation and Digital Quality Systems
The BIGGA Factory will deploy advanced automation across key manufacturing processes. This will include collaborative robots for sorting, welding and assembly, automated assembly fool-proofing and vision-based inspection systems.
According to Ultraviolette, these technologies will support greater precision, process consistency and manufacturing efficiency at the BIGGA Factory.
The facility has also been planned with scalability and flexibility at its core. This will allow Ultraviolette to progressively increase production of the Tesseract while establishing the manufacturing infrastructure required to bring future products into production as the company’s portfolio evolves.
A specialised test track will also be part of the BIGGA Factory. It will enable every vehicle to undergo rigorous evaluation before dispatch, with the company aiming to ensure that design, performance and quality remain embedded throughout the manufacturing and ownership journey.
